As long as I can remember, I have been interested in recycling and trying to be environmentally friendly. I remember encouraging my folks to recycle as a child even. Today’s green revolution has encouraged many people to also think about their impact on the planet, and many companies are jumping on the green bandwagon to make more eco-friendly peoducts or give to eco-causes because their customers like that and it helps the brand to improve their image.
That’s where Recyclebank comes in. Recyclebank is a website that partners with Live Green and many large and well known companies (like Kashi, Unilever, Coca Cola) to bring people helpful information on living green and reward them with points for their actions.
Recyclebank is free to join and shares tips and information on recycling, living green, and general environmental awareness. The company gives you points for making pledges to recycle or use less gift wrap, watching videos, taking quizzes, and reading articles. Then you can redeem those points for discounts at online and in-store retailers, gift cards, coupons, and other products. Points add up quickly and the company ships your reward to you right away.
Just today I redeemed two coupons to Shoppers Food Warehouse for $5 off a $25 purchase. They were only 50 points each and I earned those points in just about 15 minutes of clicking around on the site, so it’s really easy. Those coupons are an extra $10 i’m saving off of my grocery bill this month that can now go to paying down debt. Yay! I love saving money and Recyclebank makes it easy to earn points to redeem for coupons and other money-saving items.
